When life happens, what do you do? That has been the question for me lately and I am hoping we might be able to figure it out by the end of this article.

What Do You Mean When Life Happens?

Life happens can mean so much, but in this case, it is life really throwing me for a loop. I feel like anything that can go wrong has gone wrong. And for me, it seems to be normal. But I am tired of it being normal.

Some of what happens when life happens can include things both mentally and physically.

Mental Toll

Some of the things mentally can include but are not limited to: depression and anxiety, a feeling of self-loathing, even a sense of no longer wanting to be around. It can also be difficult to deal with. That is where therapy may come into play.

I know, therapy sounds like one of the most horrible things in the world when you are in a bad spot. But it really is not. It is under bad stigma, but we have to break it and break free of it. Getting help for our mental health should be something we talk about every single day, good-bad, or ugly. It should not matter. But before you just write it off, don’t forget the things that can happen physically because of this.

Pain In The What?

Even with everything that has been studied, and all of the reports that have been written, most people still don’t understand that mental health has a huge play on what happens to you physically.

Things that can be affected include but are not limited to sleep issues, eating disorders, exhaustion, unexplained aches, and pains. The list goes on.

When this does happen, most people do not put two and two together to be able to properly treat the issue. Which can lead to incorrect diagnosis and bad treatment. But if we pay more attention to what is going on, we will be able to hopefully prevent it from even becoming a physical issue.

Life Is A PITA

Life has been a real PITA for me the last few months, and it has taken its toll for sure. I have had to be a lot more open about things that have been going on with me, not only for myself but for my family as well.

I have been through some very surreal things that have scared the living daylights out of me. Things such as a mental suicide attempt, coming off my medication, having issues within my relationship, the list goes on. It has been hell on not only me but everyone around me as well.

Moral Of The Story

Life will be a PITA at times, but it is all in how you handle it. And as of finishing this article, I am not handling it well at all. But I have my support system on lock and can make it through anything. Life is all about how you handle it, and most days are good. Just make sure on the bad days, you have your supports to help pick you up and carry you when you need it.

Much love and don’t forget to reach out. There is nothing wrong with needing help.
